The DBKU Cat Museum is the world’s first museum dedicated to cats. Managed by the Kuching North City Hall, the museum houses a unique collection of cat-related artefacts originally acquired from the National Museum, where they were previously displayed in a gallery in Kuala Lumpur. These collections were later brought to Kuching by the Sarawak Museum and were first exhibited on 1 August 1988 at Dewan Tun Abdul Razak.

The museum is located on the lobby floor of the Kuching North City Hall Headquarters, situated atop Bukit Siol (Siol Hill) along Jalan Semariang in Petra Jaya, Kuching. Positioned approximately 60 metres above sea level, the museum offers visitors a scenic panoramic view of Kuching City.

Spanning an area of 1,035 square metres, the museum comprises four galleries and showcases more than 4,000 artefacts, including paintings and various commemorative items.
